My Favourite Art Movements

1) Expressionism
My favourite movement is expressionism, as I feel the creative possibilities are endless.

2) Abstract expressionism
Abstract expressionism is second as I believe it is so easy to tell so many stories and create many ideas through this movement.

3) Surrealism
Surrealism comes next as I feel like the imagery is a creative way to present ideas to a viewer whilst using aesthetically pleasing imagery at the same time.

4) Symbolism
I feel like symbolism is very clever, and really strikes a viewer with relevant issues and makes them think.

5) Mexican Muralism
Mexican muralism is a very beautiful art style I think, and can be symbolic, and almost monumental.

6) Fauvism
The bright colours of fauvism always strike me as a viewer and leave me captivated.

7) Colour field painting
I think a lot can be expressed just by colours and I believe colour field painting can be very symbolic and subtle.

8) Romanticism
Romanticism, whilst being aesthetically pleasing, is a perfect style to capture a scene in.

9) Body art
Body art can be very personal, and may connect the viewer with the artist.

10) Cubism
Cubism presents an abstract world that I feel is pleasing to view.
