Evaluation of mini project

These past few weeks, I, personally have been working on more experimental work. During my last project, evidenced in my ‘Experiment book’, I familiarised myself with different properties of textiles and worked on different techniques, such as different stitches, printing on material, embellishing and more. 

I think the project as a whole helped me realise what different textiles I like using the best: denim - evidenced in my final piece, and various lighter materials like lace and voile - evidenced throughout my sketchbook. I could’ve tried a few more things like attaching one fabric to another or painting on more fabrics than only denim to flesh out my sketchbook more and make a stronger link to my final piece had I more time. 

I feel as though my sketchbook really evidenced my different experimental techniques, as I tried to bring something new and creative to the book with each page.
